The government has adopted a draft of the Hospitality Law

The government has adopted a draft of the new Hospitality Law. It includes key innovations, particularly in the sector of short-term residential rentals, management of hospitality establishments, and categorization of tourist accommodations. The draft law proposes the regulation of short-term rentals, which will affect the availability of housing for the local population. In multi-apartment buildings, renting will be possible for up to 60 days per year, and in single- and two-family houses, up to 150 days.

Municipalities will have the option to adjust this timeframe. Rental periods range from 30 to 90 days for multi-apartment buildings and from 30 to 180 days for single- and two-family houses. Renting out will require the consent of 75% of co-owners and neighbors, which will be valid for three years. The register of accommodation facilities will also be updated for improved supervision.

Hospitality establishments will gain more flexibility in setting operating hours, as registering a regular schedule will no longer be mandatory. The possibility of extending operating hours will depend on local regulations, and some holidays will allow extended operation without additional permits. Additionally, a mandatory professional categorization will be introduced for accommodation facilities with at least four stars to ensure better quality. Tourist farms will be able to reach a new, highest category of five apples.

The law will be discussed in the National Assembly under the standard procedure.
