Twice a year we gather on a trip “Bilančnina” and New Year’s party.
Once a year, we meet colleagues from the region (Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia, Serbia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Austria …) and compete at Unija’s sports games. It does not matter to win, it is important to participate (although it is also nice to win …). Several times a year, the leaders invite their team of co-workers to a social gathering. Our children are also happy every year because they are visited and gifted by Santa Claus.
Anyone who thinks accountants are only good with numbers is mistaken.

I started working for Unija in the Human Resources Department immediately after my maternity leave after the birth of my second child. I was searching for a job in this field, since I had already gained most of my work experience in similar line of work. Because I am precise and responsible, I feel that the this kind of work suits me and I am also happy doing it. I am primarily responsible for the calculation of salaries and keeping personnel records for our external clients. We have grown quite a bit in the HR department during this time.
I joined Unija in 2017. The decision to change jobs and take the position as an accountant at Unija turned out to be the right one. As a younger staff member, it was extremely important to me that the company gave me the opportunity to advance and develop professionally. However, taking advantage of the opportunity that Unija offers is left to each individual – with hard work, commitment and a constant drive for progress, I believe that you are well on your way to success in Unija.
The beginnings of my career go back over 20 years. As I grew personally and professionally during this time, Unija also grew. Unija was my first job, and despite the saying that it is necessary to change jobs at least every 5 years, the company is obviously immeasurably close to my heart, as I preferred to change positions only within Unija, instead of looking for another job. Work always revives me, motivates me, makes me curious… Because there is always something going on, because there is always something new. I soon realized that Unija was very progress-oriented.
After 10 years of working with my previous employer, I have decided to swith companies. During my interview with Data-Link Unija Smart Accounting, there was a click between us. I instantly knew this was the employer I want to work for. After three years, the click is still there. Within the payroll department, our job is everything but not monotonous. Every day is filled with communication with clients, calculations, consulting and new challenges. Data-Link Unija Smart Accounting provides me with opportunities for education and advancement within my field. However, all of this would not be possible without great colleagues, mentors and managers.
I have arrived to Data-Link Unija Smart Accounting randomly, after final accounts in summer 2000. Chemical technician by vocation, I prequalified myself into an economist and finished additional course as well. However, EVERYTHING i know today, I have learned here with my amazing team. Not everybody is suited for working in an accounting firm, but if you do not try you will never know! I love my job because it is dynamic, even though tasks are repetive throughout months – VAT calculations and reports for our dear clients, but they are never the same… Magic and final touch are given by final accounts and there is no happier accountant than the moment when all final accounts are submitted!
I have joined Data-Link Unija Smart Accounting in 2019. After a long time spent in another company, there was a time for me to change my surroundings. Therefore, I started looking for a new job. I have to admit, it was not easy, but I immediately knew during my interview that I would like to work here. In the course of my two years of employment, I learned a lot while working with my colleagues as well as through organised educational courses. It all brings me joy and gives me feeling of completion. Job is dynamic. Every day is filled with communication with colleagues as well as clients, there is always a new challenge that moves us forward. The most important are people I work with. Kind and generous, always ready to assist when dealing with business-related problems, as well as to have fun and support me when additional push is needed.
I started working at Unija in November 2018. I came as an intern, and didn’t have much experienge, except a year of volunteering at a public institution. For the first few months, I worked as an accountant and then moved to the payroll department. Today, with almost 3 years of experience in payroll, I have the same desire for growth, advancement and learning as on the first day, and Unija, on the other hand, in the wing beneath my wings on that path. I am proud to be a part of a team like this, where everyone encourages and helps each other in a professional and friendly way, from colleagues to management, and recognizes and supports work, effort and commitment.
My career at Unija began in June 2018. What caught my attention at the outset, and continues to this day, is the work environment that contributes to making each individual feel equally important and motivated to achieve the common Unija’s goals. Continuous professional education and development of personal skills allows us to build long-term and quality cooperation with clients. In addition to the daily challenges that the position of accountant brings me, I am proud of how we successfully overcome all obstacles through a positive team spirit and good mood.
I have been employed at Unija Smart Accounting since 2015, initially in the position of accountant, and currently in the position of Line Manager. I am proud to be part of Unija, a company that recognizes and adequately values knowledge, work and commitment, enabling professional and financial advancement for all its employees. Unija Smart Accounting understands that good business results are largely the result of the work of satisfied and motivated employees. For this reason, we have a large number of fun social events, which contribute to the development of team spirit, collegiality and higher productivity at work, throughout the year.
In January 2019, I became part of Unija team, and I started my journey as an intern in accounting. Dedication and love for work brought me the title of “Talent” on the way to the official position of accountant, which is a big encouragement for us young people and a confirmation that effort and work without exception are always rewarded. Unija also gave me the opportunity to be a mentor to younger people, and to be someone who passes on knowledge to new colleagues and directs their professional development.
I joined this large regional family in 2018. The journey from trainee to payroll leader shows that at Unija, opportunities for learning, training, personal development and advancement are available to those willing to embark on this story. The commitment of my mentor, support, recognition and reward for the effort invested, are the wind beneath my wings for the new challenges that await in my future work.
As a young and ambitious person, I had the good fortune to join Unija right after my graduation. Unija gave me the opportunity to apply the acquired knowledge and learn a lot of new things. The selfless help and teamwork of colleagues, and above all mentors, showed me the way in which I want to develop. In a short time, I went from an intern to a freelance accountant. The possibility of advancing and recognizing potential is Unija’s trademark.
My journey at Unija began in May 2018. What left the biggest initial impression on me, and still keeps me in the same intense feeling, is: a harmonious and pleasant work environment, which can be confirmed by each employee, as well as working with people from the entire region, and continuous professional development of knowledge and skills. In addition to career advancement, Unija offers the opportunity to travel throughout the region, as well as to socialize and make many friendships.

In the summer of 2021, after passing the last exam, I stumbled upon a call for internships at Unija Smart Accounting. For someone who has just finished their studies, the call was published as an opportunity to better understand what was up until now plain theory. I recently startet working at Unija. I was in charge of supervising the most important clients. A big challenge for me was a completely new way of working as with the previous company.
