From May 6, 2024, a new subsidy is available for employers aimed at employing unemployed individuals from specific demographic groups.
Employers can receive the subsidy if they hire individuals who are:
- Older than 30 years and have been unemployed for at least 12 months,
- Older than 50 years,
- Older than 30 years with a maximum of high school education,
- Older than 30 years and are at high risk of long-term unemployment, including recipients of social aid, disabled individuals, or members of the Roma community.
To apply for the subsidy, employers must meet the following conditions:
- Be registered as legal or natural persons in Slovenia for at least 12 months,
- Have at least one employed person in the last three months or be self-employed,
- Meet all other requirements stated in the public invitation.
The employment of the unemployed person must last at least 12 months for full-time work unless due to special circumstances, the person can work part-time. The employment process is carried out through a referral by the Employment Service of Slovenia. The subsidy ranges from 450 to 720 euros per month.
The call will be open from May 6, 2024, until funds are depleted or at the latest until May 31, 2025.
