The National Assembly of the Republic of Slovenia, in its session on November 22, 2024, adopted an amendment to the Companies Act ZGD-1M, which introduces a new requirement in Article 30a for companies and sole proprietors. They must install a sign at a visible location at each business address location that displays the company’s name and registered office (or multiple signs if there are multiple business entities at the same address).
The purpose of this is to encourage the economy to increase the transparency of business operations and the accountability of business entities, which will facilitate easier recognition by stakeholders and the public, as well as in connection with the delivery of official mail and other shipments that the company/individual entrepreneur receives, as it allows for their proper delivery.
