On October 30, 2024, the Slovenian Employment Service (ZRSZ) announced an important change to the Public Invitation for Employers under the “Zaposli.me+” program. This change was made in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Affairs, and Equal Opportunities. The key update is the removal of the age limit for selecting candidates, meaning that the previous age requirement of 30 years or more for inclusion in the program no longer applies. This change will take effect on November 4, 2024, when the first public invitation under the new conditions will be issued.
Program Goals and Target Group
The goal of the “Zaposli.me+” program is to encourage employers to hire vulnerable unemployed individuals. The aim is to provide employment for at least 12 months. The program is aimed at:
- Long-term unemployed individuals over the age of 50
- People with lower educational qualifications (ISCED level 3 or below)
- Members of at-risk groups, such as people with disabilities, Roma, social welfare recipients, and other unemployed individuals registered with ZRSZ.
The target group includes approximately 5,580 unemployed individuals who will be eligible for subsidized employment.
Employment Terms
Individuals who meet the program requirements and are selected will be employed by the employer based on an employment plan and a signed full-time employment contract for at least 12 months. For individuals with special provisions, a reduced working time will be allowed, but not less than 20 hours per week.
Eligibility and Application Process
Both legal entities and individual entrepreneurs who have been registered in the Slovenian Business Register for at least 12 months and meet the additional conditions outlined in the invitation are eligible to apply.
The submission of e-offers will begin on November 4, 2024, and continue until the funds are exhausted, but no later than May 31, 2025.
For more information and application forms, employers can visit the Employer Portal on the ZRSZ website.
