UNIJA WAS HONOURED IN PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS: National Champion for Slovenia in the European Business Awards 2016/17

The best businesses from Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia and Macedonia (53 firms) were honoured at an exclusive event at the Palaca Dverce in Zagreb, Croatia, on 01.12.2016, for The European Business Awards sponsored by RSM.

Unija d.d. was chosen by a panel of independent judges, including senior businesses and academic leaders, to be a ‘National Champion’ in the 2016/17 European Business Awards and is representing Slovenia in the next stage of the competition.

At the event, the second in a series of events across Europe, attendees had the chance to speak to leading businesses in their field and hear from guest speakers including the British Ambassador to Croatia, Andrew Dalgleish, and Branko Tomašković, Partner at RSM Croatia.

At the event it was also announced that this year’s European Business Awards Gala Final will be held in Dubrovnik, Croatia next year on 4th May.

In the next round, the National Champions will put forward a video telling their unique story and explaining their business success. Category winners and the winner of a ‘public vote’ will be announced at the Gala Final in spring 2017.

The European Business Awards was set up to support the development of a stronger and more successful business community throughout Europe. This year it engaged with over 33,000 businesses from 34 countries.
